Well just thought I would have a little peep at this site, and wow i have not been on since April of this year.
So just thought I would make a small comment and just dip my toe back in the water .....Some personal issues were coming to a head in April, and I am still fighting these issues.Close "friends" understand the situation as I have explained to them the problems but now at last it seems like there is a little light at the end of the tunnel, pretty much like today .....I felt the need to to have a little dabble on here so carry on regardless :-) been a bit out of sorts over the last two/three weeks or so,and with my job driving and delivering running up to about 50 to 60 hours a week have decided that to much of my time..free time is spent doing this blog a,so I have decided to knock it on the head I will leave this site as it is now and no more will be added..I figure enough people are doing this sort of thing now for people to enjoy,I will just keep what ever pictures I take on walks in my personal album/As I think Wales has got to be one of the most photographed places in the UK,and there are no shortage of good pictures for people to view in the Internet.........SO I will thank everyone for their time looking in on this site and hope you all enjoyed it and continue to enjoy the adventures that have been logged on this site, and on that note Chow for now. :-) wez
Well thats it !!!........no its not, what am I on about I still have one more video to do then that is the activities of the last few days clear and ready to start again for the weekends trips and adventures.Just managed to finish all the Travel journals update on here but the internet was running so slow waiting ages for pictures to upload on to the site, never mind it is done now for all to look.If yo do happen to be one of the regulars who visit this site thank you very much indeed and could I ask you to pass the word on about this site, would love some feed back from further a field to find out if it is a useful site as well as entertaining....I do like the entertaining part tho ha ha any thats enough get your self gone and go and check out the Travel Journal updates chow for now :-)
Well had a well deserved sleep in today, and I did sleep so must have been tired.Any way just updated my Travel journal on here with the Trawsfynydd Lake Circular walk and added the photos from the trip,it was a bit dull but the rain managed to stay off,but it was hard to bring the colours out as every thing was bursting open,so perhaps another trip on a sunny day with a picnic maybe. So thats that done I will have to get down to planning another trip now being that I am off for a few days
Well the title of the blog says it all thats what has been punched in and thats where we are going to this Sunday for our walk. The Crew will be going, and it could be a little boggy in places. We decided not to go high this weekend just in case there was any snow lingering on the high ground...no we are not chickens just didnt want to do a high walk and find that we cold not complete it due to snow on the ground and slippy surfaces etc,we all have to be comfortable with our walks so we all enjoy the day.Well as much as I know about Llyn Trawsfynydd is that it is a man made lake and covers a whopping 1,180 acres,so yes it is quite big.The walk is about 6/7 miles but it will probably take us a little longer due to making a video as we do on out trips out but hey that all adds to the fun of the day.Look out for th
WOW the weather forecast is excellent this weekend so we can not waste it can we....BBQ Saturday may be, who knows, but I know on Sunday The Crew and myself are off to walk up the Watkin path to the summit of Yr Aran, this sits just to the South of Snowdon and should make for some wonderful views of Snowdon and its surrounding children (mountains). We will be having an early start as long as we all remember to put our clocks forward,to get a good clear start on the day,you can get some really nice shots if the mist is quite low early on as the mid day sun burns it away.Parts of this walk were actually used in the filming of the Carry On Film Up The Khyber,we should also be passing some water falls and some small lakes. So all in all looking forward to getting out with the crew again and to the top of one of Snowdonias heights
What a really really fantastic weekend we had in Betws Y Coed.We stayed at Tyn Y Fron bed and breakfast just out side Betws and it was fab our hosts Lesley and Mike were just brilliant and made the weekend they were so friendly, like they had known us for years and the place as so homely we just settled right in,the bed was comfy comfy, and the breakfasts were yummy yummy. We decided not to take the car out again and leave it parked up for the duration of the stay. The walk we picked out do was Betws y Coed centre up through forests to Llyn Elsi,a circular walk that bought us back down by the Old Miners Bridge and a walk back along the river and back into town a nice little walk with lots to see Views to take in,animals to see,and bird singing all the way round the walk really nice little walk.
Donna did not know about this weekend at all,all that she knew was that we were going away for a couple of days some where in North Wales....Betws Y Coed it was,I really like this place and it has never ceased to surprise me on every visit,it changes all the time with the changing seasons colours just burst from every where.GREAT !! I have had my eye on this one for some time now, well since last summer actually when we walked along the old railway line at Cwm Prysor and were looking across at this mighty gem.I have put the details in my travel journal for you to have a look at and some pictures as always. The day was absolutely gorgeous sun shining and could not have asked for more, although a lift down would have been nice, just joking but the coming down was the worst bit I thought any way,if I had started to come up the way we came down I think I would have given up it is a relentless grass slope all the way to the top.in fact it is that steep if you came down on a sledge in the snow I think you would break the sound barrier.Any way enough of that, the views are spectacular whilst walking up to the Cairn and once you are up there ,well you will have to go and look for your self,no camera on this planet can capture these views
